this is a portrait done by Michelangelo... 

Rumor has it, a long time ago (obviously) Michelangelo was at a town meeting/protest/etc., got bored so he started to etch into the side of Palazzo Vecchio a portrait. some say its a self portrait, some say it was a person in the crowd... whatever the truth is, i think it is absolutely amazing! People do not know about it So, while there are HUGE crowds standing outside the Uffizi and tons of people taking pictures of/with the fake David, this little masterpiece stands alone sketched in the corner of the side of the Palazzo Vecchio. I love hidden wonders like that! Thank you art history teacher for pointing it out to me...
