digging my way to china
i love my fine china...
but what do i do about everyday?

which i think are beautiful!
and a little funky.
totally my style...
but i could use the solid pewter
to be completely functional and not as outrageous...
(both in price and style)

italian leather
when i think of italy, i think first of the
renaissance architecture and art that line the streets and fill cathedrals.
but when i remember italy,
it is the metallic leather bag that was handmade for me and
the ostrich and dark chocolate brown leather medicine bag designed for drew.
so, when i saw this video on j.crew's website today,
my heart completely melted.
i think about eugenio in his family's little shop on the cobblestone street,
borgo s.s. apostoli,
right off the ponte vecchio.
i really cannot explain my love for florence.
watch this video- it gives you a little bitty feel of the
grandeur italy possesses.

ti voglio italia
i love italy. every aspect of it...
the plane ride there.
standing with my back to the arno river looking up to the hillside.
wine tasting while looking at the tuscany farmland.
riding in a red glossy wooden boat around the 5 cities of cinque terre.
on the hike looking through the trees to one of the port cities there.
once again, on the hike within the woods on a stone bridge.
the beautiful country side views on the train ride to rome.
making 3 wishes into the trevi fountain.
the lighthouse on the island of capri.
in tiny wooden boat inside the blue gorda cave.
boating around the island of capri.
the sunset in greece.
exploring the white houses of santorini during the day
... and during the night.
WOW
this reminiscing makes me realize
1. how amazing of a trip i got to take
2. how much i miss europe
3. i was really there... I WAS REALLY THERE???
