i'm working on a project for a really good family friend, practically sister. i'm decorating her two little girls room and her little baby on the way's room!

ok, so i know i just posted about a christmas list in the last post, but look how amazing this list is. I think this is a great way to reflect about the year and really get an understanding about what you want/need for christmas!
every year the harris poll asks different questions. here is this year's question list: 

1. Something unexpected I accomplished in 2010.
2. Something challenging I hope to accomplish in 2011. 

3. It doesn’t cost much (Mom’s $30 rule), but I wish I had it.

ok, so it's the holiday season. and i usually NEVER start talking about christmas before thanksgiving comes around (i think it hurts thanksgiving's feelings), but drew has started playing christmas carols- dave barnes to be exact-  its a pretty amazing cd! and i have just been getting in the christmas spirit. so i started looking for christmas presents

or dreaming...

 it could double as a christmas and wedding present!

maybe, just MAYBE if i cut, color, and style my hair like this- i'll look like her...

j. crew's 2011 spring collection came out November 4... so, i'm a little late and almost didn't post this, but HOLY CORAL. i am in LOVE. i was ready for christmas, but who cares about winter when you have this spring fashion to look forward to. 

jenna lyons is a fashion genius. in my opinion, she has transformed j. crew's complete look.  she never fails to impress me every season with her intuitive designs that literally set the standard for other designer collections. what is even better- it's affordable! you better believe i will be wearing the bright lemon citrus ruffled shorts and high-waisted coral pink shorts this summer! along with the to die for nars lip stick i cannot get enough of! i love pink and coral together...

realism painting

Twenty-four year old artist, Alexa Meade, paints portraits on people.  She paints acrylic paint directly on live models, so they appear to be two-dimensional paintings themselves. Oh my goodness, HOW INCREDIBLE!

print, glitter, fur and a grocery store?

ok, so grocery shopping completely intimidates me.  I usually go into the store, see flowers , "oh these are pretty!" Then, I walk around absolutely clueless. (There is just way too many different kinds of food.) so, by now i am overwhelmed, but i have to leave with some food... so i make a b-line to the only aisle i do know, the snack food aisle. I pick up my box(es) of fruit roll-ups and make a mad dash to the checkout line. before i pay, i see the new Lucky magazine, pick it up. i leave with a bag full of flowers, fruit roll-ups and magazines- defeated. how does this girl makes it look so effortless?

i guess i need:

1. a faux fur jacket- check.

2. a long colorful dress- check.

3. killer glitter pumps- check.

4. a wooden picnic basket- (nicole, can i borrow that from you?)

5. red fingernails. love. and coral red lips- check. and check.

i'm all set. this will probably be the only way i will enjoy (or even go) grocery shopping. 

i love it.

I'm engaged!
the day has come... I will be marrying my high school sweetheart,  andrew merrill miller! So i guess that makes 3 "tying the knots" for today's post... countdown starts: June 11!

...7 months away WHAT?! i better start planning...
